Summer Sunday | High Tea

This afternoon I enjoyed some homemade sweet and savory snacks. My neighbor organized an high tea at her place and invited me, my mom and some of her friends over. Everyone brought something delicious with them. In no time the table was filled with amazing snacks.

I think it is so much fun to organize your own high tea party and I would definitely recommend to try it yourself. Invite your best friends over and let them prepare something at home for the high tea.  You can find three of my favorite recipes down below. Enjoy!

Food Display

Before I share my recipes I will show you a cute way to display your food. You can easily create your own etagère with mugs and plates like in this picture above.

Lemon Raspberry Cupcakes

I made my favorite lemon cupcakes for this high tea. This time I decorated the lemon cupcakes with a glaze topping and some raspberries. I will explain how to create a basic glaze topping in five easy steps. The only things you will need are a little jug of water, food coloring and powdered sugar.

1. Add the powdered sugar into the mixing bowl.
2. Put a little bit of red food coloring in the jug of water and mix it.
3. Stir the water (little by little) until a nice thick and smooth paste is created.
4. Use the back of a spoon to decorate the cupcakes with the glaze. Make sure that the cupcakes cooled down before you decorate them.
5. Add three raspberries in the center of each cupcake.

Strawberry Cheese Cake

I can not describe how delicious this strawberry cheesecake is. I have made this a lot of times before and I still love it. You can find the recipe here
Granny’s Apple Pie
My granny used to make a hell of a pie! Her apple pie recipe has been passed down the family and I am going to share it with you. You can find the recipe here

Have you ever organized a high tea party yourself?
